Uniform Crime Reports
Annual reports produced by the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division. One of the two national measures of U.S. crime, unlike the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) the
UCR is based on specific offenses reported to law enforcement agencies. UCR reports include:

Criminal Victimization in the United States--Statistical Tables
110 tables with detailed data on major variables measured by the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), one of the two national measures of U.S. crime. Unlike the Uniform Crime Reports (UCR)
, the NCVS is based on survey data and measures crimes that may or may not have been reported to the police. Includes crimes against property as well as persons; victim and crime characteristics;
victim-offender relationship; victims' perceptions of substance use by offenders and of offender characteristics (age, race, and sex); whether the crime was reported/unreported; and if reported, police response time.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data
NACJD makes criminal justice data available to the public for secondary analysis. A branch of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research
(ICPSR) at the University of Michigan, NACJD acquires, archives, processes, and provides downloadable access to over 550 computer-readable criminal justice data collections. While the ICPSR is a
membership-based organization, most NACJD data is freely available to the public. Some relavant data sets are restricted to members; for assistance in accessing these contact the
Humanities and Social Sciences Data Center at Alexander Library.
