Campus Safety

Rutgers-Newark provides a secure environment, where students, employees and visitors alike feel comfortable on and around our 40-acre campus. The Rutgers University Police Department patrols our campus and the surrounding neighborhood around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year —on foot, by bicycle and in patrol cars. Security escorts are available to walk students to their vehicles, housing and transportation centers, and shuttle bus service provides transportation to and from nearby parking lots morning through evening.
