Center for Race and Politics in America to Host Conversation with Joy Reid

The Sheila Y. Oliver Center for Politics and Race in America at Rutgers-Newark will welcome television host and author Joy Reid at a February 1 event to kick off Black History Month.

Reid will deliver a lecture titled “The Intersections of Race, Politics, and the Media in the Aftermath of the 2024 Elections,” followed by a moderated Q&A session with the center's director James Jones. 

Reid is the host of The Reidout on MSNBC, a platform for political commentary. She is the author of three books: Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons, and the Racial Divide; The Man Who Sold America: Trump and the Unraveling of the American Story; and Medgar and Myrlie: Medgar Evers and the Love Story That Awakened America.
